14 May Holly Walther Lending Team: Fun Fact Friday – Buyer Fatigue
Holly: Hey guys, happy Friday. It’s Holly and little miss Daisy, well, my fill-in version, but she’s a lot easier to work with. But we are here with this week’s fun fact Friday. Let’s talk about what’s going on in this market. I know so many of you are worn out. You already experiencing buyer fatigue. You know, you go out, you think you found the house of your dreams and before you’re even there, you’re sitting in a line of people for hours just to look at the house. And then you get your offer in only to hear that there are 30 others. Do not fret. Now the best way to handle this market is a few things.
One, make sure you’re fully underwritten and approved on the front end. Let’s get all those conditions clear. Let’s make sure that you’re ready to buy. Number two, make sure you hire a real estate professional to walk you through this process. Now more than ever, you need a realtor by your side, holding your hand. They’re going to be able to get you into properties that aren’t even on the market. They’re going to be able to lead you to strategically place a bid that’s going to win. That in combination with us calling the agents and the seller, letting them know you are underwritten and approved, that you’re ready to go. These are the things that you need in this market to stand out and win.
So let’s talk about buyer fatigue. Why is it out there? It’s out there because everybody else is buying and we have a shortage of inventory. Do not lose help. The spring market is here. More things are going on the market. Don’t think if you’re sitting on the sidelines that you can’t purchase a home right now. I had multiple conversations this week with people saying, hey, we’re not buying now or we wanted to buy, but now we can’t because we don’t have an extra a hundred thousand dollars to go in above this price. Is that happening out there? Yes, some. But is it happening on every house and do you have to do that? Absolutely not.
