05 Feb Holly Walther Lending Team: Fear of First Time Home Buyers – Part 1
Holly: Hey, happy Friday. It’s Holly and little miss Daisy. Well, the real thing is snuggled up at home and resting this morning, but I wanted to continue this week with the myths around home buying. A lot of first-time home buyers fear making that first phone call because they have a little to no down payment. And they think that that makes them non-eligible to purchase. Well let’s clear that myth right now. We have many products and many programs that allow little to no down payment. We have the USDA home loan, which is 100% financing. It is geographic specific. So that’s not going to allow you to purchase any home that you like. We also have the VA home loan. Now you have to be a veteran to earn that. Is that a 100% loan. It is a fabulous product that our veterans most certainly earn and deserve.
Then after that, we have many different down program assistant products out there. Some make sense, some don’t, they are income and credit specific. So that’s something that we would want to look at your individual situation. And then beyond that, we have conventional loans, with as little as 3% down. FHA loans with three and a half percent down, gifts are allowed. So bottom line, don’t let the fact that you don’t have a significant amount of money saved prevent you from calling us today. There are lots of opportunities to buy. We would love to set up a personal phone call. And that’s this week’s fun fact Friday. See you next week.
