13 Nov Holly Walther Lending Team: Fun Fact Friday – World Kindness Day
Holly: Hey, it’s Holly, happy Friday. I’m here with little miss Daisy and we are here with your Fun Fact Friday guys. This one is super, super, super important so I hope you’ll take note. Did you know that today is World Kindness day? This originally started in Tokyo over 21 years ago, but now we have several countries, United States, Canada, Japan, Italy, Australia, all kinds of countries that have come together to observe this holiday. And so just wanted to share with you a few things that I chose to do with my family. We got a hundred, $1 bills. We’ve wrote multiple phrases on them, and we’re going to be distributing those all over East Cobb where we live today.
So let’s think about that. What random act of kindness can you do with your families to set the example for young children? You know, maybe you open a car door for somebody. Maybe you open a door, hold a door. Gosh, in today’s world, it’s such a simple thing, but people have forgotten to do. Maybe you’re going through a drive through and you pay for the person behind you. Maybe you just call an old friend. There’s so many things that you can do that don’t even have to have monetary value.
Let’s think about these quotes. Kind words do not cost much, yet they accomplish much. Always have a willing hand to help someone. You might be the only one that does. When words are both true and kind, they can change our world. And, the world is full of kind people; if you can’t find one, be one. So I’d love to hear about what you decided to do. Make this the best day. Let’s make a difference, and we’ll see you next week.
